Valve World in Madrid



With great enthusiasm the Valve World team met again with companies in the valves and fluid control community around Madrid, the modern and cosmopolitan Spanish capital.

What made a big impression during these visits was the optimism that prevails. In times of crisis these companies have demonstrated their ability to adapt to change and adjust to market needs.

From July 4 to July 9, Paula Cuervo Calvo and Vera Solís Esquivel visited the following members of the community:
In the center of Madrid in a friendly atmosphere we met with Mr. Kurt Hilegems Castflow Valves sl Sales Manager. This is a company with a technical team that has gained experience in the design and development of valves for over 30 years. Despite the market difficulties Valves Castflow is committed to the development of new products the most significant of these being the expansion of their range of retention ball to DN600 and stainless steel construction and lining. The last mentioned is especially in demand in the chemical industry and mining. They have also expanded their range of disk centered (axially) to DN500 diameter and the line is being developed to include nozzle check valves. The range will be available by 2012. Valves Castflow sl. is certified to design and manufacture to ISO 9001:2000.

Mr. Francisco Perez Ibisate, Purchasing Manager at ICISER Systems, told the Valve World team that ICISER has become one of the strongest in the market thanks to their flexibility in times of crisis. Iciser Sistemas works exclusively with leading manufacturers of high international prestige, which has enabled them to provide the required service with the ability required to obtain the desired results even venturing into various projects worldwide. Mr. Julián González, Marketing Manager of Saidi welcomed Valve World to its facilities in Madrid. Saidi, part of the KLINGER group, has over 40 years’ experience in Europe and Latin America and is one of the strongest companies in the world of the valve. Also in the center of Madrid, we spent time with Mr. Christian Astudillo, Director General of Koflow Europe Valves SLU. SLU Koflow Valves Europe is the European subsidiary of Madrid Koflow Valves, a first class industrial valves manufacturer. Valves Europe SLU Koflow distribute from China to Europe and Latin America. Near Alcala de Henares, we were greeted by Mrs. Lorena Garcia and technical architect, Daniel Cuesta Bernardino of IVALSA, a company that is part of Grupo Cuñado. IVALSA is well known for supplying industrial valves to major engineering companies, energy and construction, both nationally and internationally.
Mrs. Lorena informed Valve World of their recent incorporation with VECTOR FILTERS Valves and B. MARTEN. IVALSA is highlighted in the market for its storage and distribution network and its technical staff and engineers that support the installation of equipment supplied, and offering efficient and timely maintenance. At Schmolz + Bickenbach Ibérica SA, Mr Heliodoro Garzon, CEO and Raul Moron, from the commercial division, prepared an interesting presentation on the organization of the company and the various changes that have occurred over the years.

Valve World returns to Spain



One of Valve World’s latest trips was again down to the beautiful southern Europe country Spain. Mrs Vera Solis Esquivel and Ms Paula Cuervo, travelled to meet up with Spanish valve companies located around the Spanish capital Madrid. According to the experts from the industry, the Spanish valve industry is progressing well and when speaking to Valve World, the companies confirmed this positive trend and also stated that the Spanish market is a fruitful place for valve companies, and they are pleased with the current situation and excited for the next years to come as they will be interesting years.

Mr Francisco Díaz Lantarón (left), Procurement Manager and Mr Antonio Rubio Redondo (right), Marketing Manager, of VCF. The company has more than 25 years’ experience in the market of valve distribution and management of supplies, specializing in Project Engineering dealing with the final customer. Their business focuses on assisting the customer in the supply of industrial valves.

 
 
 
 
 
The Valve World team meet up with CastFlow Valves SL., formed by technicians that have been developing valves for many years and created new patterns for castings. TTV has been active in the valves market since 1982, manufacturing and distributing butterfly valves. They have a large and strong presence in the domestic and international market and now they are focusing in the Middle East. Mr José Carretero Gómez (right) explained to Vera Solis Esquivel of Valve World that TRADINOX, SA has a long history in the metal industry. Amongst their products are ball valves, butterfly valves and flanges. TRADINOX, SA was established in order to ensure the supply of stainless steel within a geographic area that covers the central region and south of Spain.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Mr Christian Astudillo Mannsfeld, General Manager, Koflow Europe welcomed us at the technical and commercial installations of Koflow Europe in the centre of Madrid. Koflow Valves Europe distributes from China to Europe and Latin America and plans to create a European distribution net. Mr Francisco Ibisate Pérez, Purchase Manager of Iciser Sistemas, explained that the company has a long experience distributing to the domestic and international market, mainly valves, steam and instrumentation products and strainers, providing a seamless service and total transparency between manufacturer and end customer. This experience has been the result of the participation and management in numerous projects in collaboration with engineering and multinational companies in the sector.
